Our tagline is “Empowering people. Making the impossible possible.” Imagine: you want a job. You want a nice home. You want friends and to enjoy doing things with them. You want to go to concerts, go see your favorite sports teams, volunteer in your community. You want to do all the things you see others doing, but you don’t know where to start. How do you fill out a job application? You don’t have transportation. You’re not able to go out and experience life without support. You need help communicating your wants and needs. You need help developing the skills for all you want to do. You want to be independent. Make your own choices. Live a life YOU CHOOSE.

But how?

At CARS we help people pursue the life they want. A healthy, meaningful, fulfilling life they deserve. Their best life. A life THEY CHOOSE. This looks different for everyone. It may mean learning life skills to be more independent or social skills to be active members of their communities. It could be job training and skills or attending music and sporting events. Maybe it’s support to receive adaptive equipment, music therapy, art therapy or speech therapy.

On August 3, 2024, we are hosting our 1st Annual Cruisin’ for CARS 3 County, 5 Stop Jeep, Motorcycle and all vehicle Ride: Open Roads for Opportunities. We will be cruisin’ through Parke, Clay and Vigo Counties. At CARS we believe in removing all the barriers so each person has unlimited opportunities. After the ride, we will also be hosting a dinner with live music and more. A sponsorship will help us cover the costs of the event so that every dollar we raise will go directly to those we serve.
